YES YES YES! The wait was so worth it! This book was everything. The angst was off the charts and I loved every second of it. One of the things I especially love about LJ Shen’s books is that they’re always full of unexpected twists and turns! And Pretty Reckless sure was full of twists and it definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat.
From reading the blurb I wasn’t quite sure that I would like Daria at first, considering she was the “mean” girl of her school, but boy was I proved wrong. Throughout the book you’re able to see another side of Daria which explains why she acts the way she does and it really sheds a whole new light on her and her actions. I quickly grew to love our Daria!! And Penn! Oh my, Penn!! He’s definitely a new favorite book boyfriend. The way he is with Daria and how he secretly has a soft spot for her just melts my heart. This was an enemies to lovers romance set on FIRE!!!
I loved how he never truly gave up on her. Their story was so unique and intertwined and I truly loved it. This is the kind of book that you need to clear your schedule for because once you start it, you won’t be putting it down until you’re finished.
